Fourth Grade Teachers
My name is Serena Brizic and I am excited to be your child’s fourth grade teacher. My husband and I moved to Colorado Springs in 2003 from Southern California and we have enjoyed raising our four active children in Colorado. Our weekends are spent at dance, band, gymnastics, and sporting events. We love to get outside and enjoy the beautiful mountains as much as we can.
This is my eleventh year teaching and I have taught middle school, fifth grade, and third grade. I have been a teacher in District 49 over the past 6 years and I have had the opportunity to work at a few different schools. I was a third grade teacher at Imagine in 2012 to 2014. I have learned from great school leaders and amazing colleagues over the years. I am excited to be back this year.
I hold a MA in Curriculum and Instruction and I just completed my licensure program in school leadership. I love engaging students in the learning process and watching them grow every day. I have high expectations and I will give them the tools they need to be life long learners.
I look forward to partnering with you in educating your child. Please email at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
My name is Robert Mery. This is my second year at Imagine Classical Academy. I have a Bachelor’s of Art in History from UCCS with an emphasis in elementary education. My mother and grandmother inspired me to become a teacher with their love of teaching. I enjoy sports and collecting sports cards/memorabilia in my free time. I am looking forward to having an incredible year!!!
My name is Lucy Nelson and I am one of the fourth grade teachers here at Imagine Classical Academy. I am originally from South Carolina, but after serving in the Air Force and living in a variety of places, I relocated to Colorado Springs in 2008.
I have been in and out of the classroom most of my adult life- as a student, volunteer, substitute teacher, and classroom teacher. I am a certified teacher in the state of Colorado with a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology.
I have three children; my two older sons attend college and my daughter is a student at Imagine Classical Academy. I enjoy spending time with family, sightseeing, hiking, and traveling. I also enjoy reading a good book, going to the movies, watching college football, eating out, appreciating a good cup of coffee, and being entertained with clean comedy (aka Tim Hawkins). I am a dog lover and currently have one Siberian Husky/ German Shepard mix.
I am very excited to have the opportunity to spend another year here at Imagine Indigo Ranch teaching a group of amazing kids with an exceptional curriculum.
